MCC Takes Flight with New Electric Aircraft

MCC is proud to unveil its new fully electric aircraft: the first of its kind in Kentucky and only the second in the nation. The Pipistrel Velis Electro, the nation鈥檚 first certified electric aircraft, will provide MCC Aviation students with valuable hands-on experience with emerging flight technology and prepare them for a rapidly evolving aviation industry.
The addition of electric flight technology to MCC鈥檚 training program reflects the college鈥檚 continued commitment to innovative, workforce-focused aviation education. The aircraft also provides opportunities to explore more efficient flight training while reducing operational costs.
